My Story
Hi, my name is Hayley! I wanted to create this blog so that I could share all of my interests online! But, now it is time to share a little bit about myself. I live in a small town in Virginia. I am married to my high school sweetheart. We have two fur babies that we love very much. I am 28 years old. I graduated college with a Bachelor's of Arts in English, so I have always loved reading and writing and am so excited to share that passion. In 2020, right as the pandemic was starting, I had a stroke. I was on life support for a couple of weeks, and then had to learn how to walk, use my arms, and eat again. It was quite the experience to have to relearn those things in your early 20s. I also felt so alone during that time, because I couldn't find anyone else who had a similar experience as I did that was around my age.

I hated feeling like that. I hope that with this blog I can help other young people who have/are going through something that extreme. I can go more into what that whole experience was like in a blog, but I also want to show that life goes on after a major health crisis. For the last couple of years, I have felt so hopeless. My stroke left me with vision issues and left side weakness. I can't drive, therefore I felt like my options in life were very limited.

I have spent the last 6 months really focusing on the good in life and finding the silver lining to every situation. A couple of months ago I was expressing to my husband how much I enjoy writing and having a blog would be a dream come true, but I didn't have the confidence to commit.

Now that I am starting, I really want to showcase all that life still has to offer. I want to share things that make me happy, and hopefully they are things that will make you happy, too!
